1. "One of Life’s Best Experiences"

My adult daughter and I recently went on a 5 day hiking trip with China Travellers to the Great Wall. I have previously hiked in various parts of the world and this trip was one of the best experiences of my life.
    Our initial enquiries were all answered promptly and clearly. Sonia devised a flexible itinerary tailored for us. All costs were clearly stated up front and there were no hidden extras. More accurately, the extras were all in our favour because Sonia added many kindnesses.
    We started at the restored Wall at Jinshanling and thought that was wonderful. Each day Sonia took us to wilder and increasingly spectacular sections of the Wall until we finally ran out of superlatives at Jiankou. Some days we saw other hikers but mostly it was just Nature, mountains, the Wall and us.
    We travelled by car between each section of the Wall. The cars were comfortable and the drivers were good.
    The food in the villages was excellent and plentiful. Better than most of the restaurants we went to in Beijing!
    We found China Travellers very well organised and punctual. Sonia, our guide, was knowledgeable and delightful company. She speaks English well.
    Two weeks after returning home we are still on a bit of a high, wishing we were back on the Wall. Thank you, Sonia, for a truly unforgettable experience!
