Detailed itinerary:
Camping on the Great Wall of China must rank among one of the greatest experiences on this planet. Have you ever imagine to sleep on the Ming Dynasty Great Wall which was built about 600 years ago and witness sunrises and sunsets there? We can turn it into reality for you. This is a tour package that combines both hiking and camping. It is especially suitable for outdoor lovers like you. You will cherish this unique experience and it will become a special life-time memory!

Jiankou Great Wall has perhaps the most frequent appearance on picture books and post cards of the Great Wall. This section of wall retains its original appearance since its construction in 1368. It is uniquely made of large white rocks. Jiankou Great Wall is considered to be a "wild" section of the Great Wall, due to its disrepair and its location along a mountain ridge with steep cliffs on each side, which makes it an ideal place for adventurous and experienced hikers and photographers.

Day 1:
We will meet at 9:00am in the morning. It takes us about 2-2.5 hours to get to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Mutianyu Great Wall is the most popular section of wall among travelers from other countries. We will start our hike from Mutianyu Great Wall, following the Great Wall to trek westward, about 1.5 hours we will reach the last watch tower at Mutianyu section. You will see people from all over the world there. We will pass through 18 towers on our way, starting from the 6th tower and ending up at the 24th tower of Mutianyu Great Wall.

From there we continue to walk at the West Jiankou section of the Wall. It takes about another one hour and a half to get to the tower which name is Zhenbeilou. We will get a peak overlooking of the whole section of Jiankou Great Wall on top of the tower.

Then we will come down the wall along a trail to the parking lot, where our driver will be waiting for us. The driver will drive us to a nice countryside restaurant to have a late yet big lunch there. After the big lunch we will go to the Jiangjunshouguan and camp there.

Day 2:
We might be waken up by the birds and the air in the morning is really fresh. If you want to see the sunrise you need wake up a bit early. After walking around and taking pictures, we will pack up our camping gears and come down the wall. We will have a breakfast at a local guest house. After that, we will do the hike of the middle section of Jiankou Great Wall. After the hike of middle Jiankou we will have a late lunch. After the lunch the driver will drive us to be back Beijing.

Bad weather plan:
We will email you 2-3 days before the camping tour to let you know about the weather condition. If there is thunder storm or heavy rain it will be dangerous to do the camping tour on the Great Wall. So we will cancel it or change the dates. If the weather is fine in the daytime but rainy at night, we will stay the night at a local guest house.
