Highlights of this hike:
1. This hike includes Gubeikou Great Wall, the restored Jinshanling Great Wall and the unrestored Jinshanling Great Wall. It offers a great chance for you to witness a wide variety of both architecture and topography, as well as to sample the culture and history;
2. Walk on both restored and unrestored authentic wild Great Wall: an excellent chance for you to compare and contrast what the wall may have looked like when they were originally finished, and how it looks after about 600 years of exposure to the elements;
3. Awesome views for photographers;

5. Home-made Chinese meals at a local farmer’s guest house;
6. Stay at a local guest house: a great chance for you to know about rural Chinese culture and rural Chinese lifestyle;

This 2-day Great Wall hiking tour includes three different sections of the Great Wall:
1. Gubeikou Great Wall;
2. the restored Jinshanling Great Wall;
3. the unrestored Jinshanling Great Wall.

Price and discount:
The cost is 1200RMB (about 190 US$) per person. It includes transportation, entrance fees, water, four meals, one night’s accommodation and guides. We give 10% discount for students, members and kids under 12’s.

Detailed itinerary:
Day 1:
1. In the morning we will meet at 9am;
2. After about 2 to 2.5 hours’ driving, we will arrive at Gubeikou Ancient Town;
3. In the morning: We will take a hike on West Gubeikou Great Wall; (about 6 kilometers, 3 hours);
4. Lunch time: We will have a big lunch at a local farmer’s guest house;
5. In the afternoon: After lunch we will go for a hike at East Gubeikou Great Wall; (about 5 kilometers, 2-3 hours’ walking)
6. At night we will stay at a local guest house. (Camping on the Chinese Great Wall is optional.)

Day 2:
1. After breakfast we will drive to the Jinshanling Great Wall;
2. In the morning: We will take a hike from at Jinshanling Great Wall; (about 8 kilometers, 4 hours);
3. Lunch time: We will have a late yet big lunch at a local farmer’s guest house;
4. After lunch we will drive back to downtown Beijing.

Bad weather plan:
We will email you 2-3 days before the hike to let you know about the weather condition. If there is thunder storm, heavy rain or strong wind we will cancel the hike, change the dates or arrange a tour to the restored section of the Great Wall.
