Detailed Itinerary: We will meet at 8:00am and will arrive at the Huanghuacheng Yellow Flower Great Wall at about 10:00am. On this Great Wall hike, we will not only see the ruined "water wall", but also will walk for about 2-3 hours on the well-preserved parts. This section of Wall still retains its original appearance since its construction in Ming Dynasty. But the climb isn’t steep until you get higher up. And in some parts the walking on the Great Wall is very pleasant. We will have lunch at a local farmer’s house after the hike.
Huanghuacheng Yellow Flower Great Wall was built during the Ming Dynasty. The wall was a military fortress defending the capital as well as imperial tomb cluster, the Ming Tombs. This section of the Great Wall is divided by a road and a lake. It makes this section of wall a very unique characteristic, distinguishing appearance from other sections of the Great Wall.
Bad weather plan: We will email you 2-3 days before the hike to let you know about the weather condition. If there is thunder storm, heavy rain or strong wind we will cancel the hike, change the dates or arrange a tour to the restored section of the Great Wall.
