Highlights of this hike:

2. Walk on both restored and unrestored wild Great Wall: an excellent chance for you to compare and contrast what the Wall may have looked like when they were originally finished, and how it looks after about 600 years of exposure to the elements;

Price and discount:
The cost is 400RMB per person. It includes transportation, entrance fees, water, lunch and guides. We give 10% discount for students, members and kids under 12’s.

Detailed itinerary:
We will meet at 8am and will arrive at the Huanghuacheng Great Wall at about 10am. We will start our hike from a local farmer’s house. During this hike, we will not only see the sheer Great Wall, but also the different mountain and water scenery. The water makes this section of wall a very unique characteristic, distinguishing appearance from other sections of the Great Wall.

The whole section of wall has forts, passes, beacon-towers, and guard towers. In some parts the walking is very pleasant. From Zhuangdaokou the Great Wall is completely unrestored and still remains its plain character since its construction in the Ming Dynasty. The walking on the Great Wall is about 2-3 hours, and then we will follow a lovely trail in the orchard down to Yaoziyu Village. Our driver will be waiting for us there.

Bad weather plan:
We will email you 2-3 days before the hike to let you know about the weather condition. If there is thunder storm, heavy rain or strong wind we will cancel the hike, change the dates or arrange a tour to the restored section of the Great Wall.
